Album Cover Design

I did this project in one of my first graphic design classes. We started this project by picking a random object and sketching that object, keeping different design principles in mind for each sketch. My object was my gaming headset and microphone. The design and sketch that turned out to be my favorite was the focal point design, which is shown above. We then had to apply our designs to a real world product. Immediately when I added color to this design, I knew it would be perfect for a concept album cover. I felt the colors and design matched the style of the Beatles album covers, so I did some research, created the Beatles characters in Illustrator and formed a composition to match a landscape from my original design components. I even added the classic Beatles font. I would love to see what Ringo Starr and Paul McCartney think about it.
