3D Bookmark Design

This was a project I did in a typography class where we designed bookmarks and then 3D printed them. I had a lot of fun with this project and learned a lot, as it was my first time using a 3D printer. I gained some valuable experience and knowledge about how to arrange text for 3D print and all the do’s and don’ts of 3D printing. I started with sketches, moved my designs to illustrator, then moved them to a 3D modeling site where we converted our bookmarks to .stl files and got them ready for the 3D printer. It was a very rewarding process when I got to hold my physical bookmark at the end of the project.
