SynthRunner

I created this animation as part of an ad campaign for a concept video game I made up called SynthRunner. The goal was to create an animated ad for SynthRunner in a synthwave style that was very popular in the 80’s. My target audience for this project included people who grew up going to arcades as kids in the 80’s who would connect emotionally through nostalgia of the synthwave look with this animated ad. I personally love the synthwave style and I had a lot of fun creating an animation in this style. I am very happy with how it turned out and I am looking forward to experimenting further with the synthwave style in the future. I ended up creating a shortened version of the ad as well, because the full length ad turned out to be one minute and forty-five seconds. The shortened version is only one minute and would be used for airing as a commercial on live television whereas the main ad would be used everywhere else. This animation was created using Cinema 4D, Adobe After Effects, and Adobe Illustrator.
