The Pawn

This project was created during my final semester of school in the spring of 2024. This is a title sequence for a TV show concept I made up called The Pawn. The show is about a young boy who is an up-and-coming chess prodigy, however he isn’t taken as a serious competitor by the other professional chess players when he begins competing, leaving him with nothing left to do but prove them wrong. I chose the pawn as the title and to be the main theme of the title sequence, because the main character as similar to the pawn piece in the game of chess in the way that he may seem weak, but he can prove to be the most powerful in the game. I really wanted to capture the elegant and fancy style that can be associated with the game of chess. This project was modeled, animated, and rendered using Cinema 4D, and edited/finalized in Adobe After Effects.
